Turboprop aircraft are more efficient and cost effective over short distances than comparable piston engine aircraft . However, they still achieve an average speed of 300 mph and a range of about 1,000 miles. They can also land and take off at almost any airport, including those with non-concrete runways. Turboprops are most popular for short and medium haul flights.

Luggage capacities are normally limited, although most have pressurized passenger cabins and many have semi-private toilets.

King Air 200
The King Air 200 is one of the most successful aircraft in its class. It is also one of the most widely used ambulance aircraft in the world , partly because of its ability to land and take off on very short runways . Although it is usually configured to hold nine passengers, it can accommodate up to 13 people.
