What are the safety standards of the aircraft used?

The FAA has requirements for each aircraft’s equipment, maintenance, and crew, but the open charter market is largely unregulated from a safety perspective.

The FAA does not have the resources to inspect every certified charter aircraft.
There are two major safety rating agencies specializing in private jet chartering – Aviation Research Group (ARG/US) and Wyvern.
While there are exceptions, most reliable aircraft operators are registered with one or two companies.
High Season Charter Flights
Peak season cruises are no different from other rentals, but increased demand can affect pricing and availability.

When booking a high season trip, contact your provider at least 30 days in advance if possible.
With the big holidays approaching, planes book fast, limiting the pool of options available for customers who book late.
If all planes at or near the departure airport are already booked, you may have to pay more to fly a plane from outside the area.
Last Minute Charter Flights
Last minute trips may require special considerations, but most flights can be booked with little advance notice.

Last-minute charter flights are a core offering from every on-demand provider.
Uptime varies by provider, but most flights can be arranged in as little as 2-4 hours.
Aircraft and crew availability is a primary concern on last-minute trips. A limited number of aircraft and pilots are available for a given journey at any given time.
For example, it can be difficult to book flights from rural airports at midnight on major holidays!
If you are new to private jet chartering, an optional program may be the right choice for you.

With no capital commitment required and the ability to try out different planes, on-demand charter is a great way to familiarize yourself with the world of private jet travel.
